Polyurethane

Polyurethane is the polymer obtained from the reaction of polyol and isocyanate with various additives under favorable conditions. Polyurethanes are produced in various structures and properties for different industrial application areas with the diversification of the chemical structure of the polyols and isocyanates used. Polyurethane foams, which can be produced in various structures and properties, including rigid, flexible and elastomers; are used in many industries, especially in construction, automotive, furniture and footwear.

Rigid polyurethane foams are used as a thermal insulation material in various industries, including construction, transportation, heating and cooling systems.

  • Rigid polyurethane foams produced as sheets and sandwich panels are used for coating the roofs and facades of buildings in the building-construction sector with their lightweight and durable structures. It is possible to build structures with increased fire resistance with polyurethane products with high non-combustibility.
  • In the heating sector, they are used for the insulation of solar energy tanks and boilers, while in the cooling sector, they are preferred for household coolers, cold rooms, and refrigerated vehicles.
  • It is the most preferred insulation material due to its low thermal conductivity coefficient, good dimensional strength at high temperatures and long service life in pipes used for transporting liquids at different temperatures.
  • Rigid polyurethane foams are widely used in the production of wood and stucco imitation products with their ease of application and processing.
  • Rigid polyurethane foams applied by spraying technique are used to provide thermal insulation inside and outside buildings.

Flexible polyurethane foams are very preferred in the production of various products and parts in the automotive, furniture and mattress industries with their light and durable structures. It has a wide product portfolio ranging from the production of beds and pillows in the furniture sector to the production of seat parts in the automotive sector with their ease of forming and processing, different sizes and forms. In addition, special semi-flexible polyurethane foam products are used for sound insulation.

Polyurethane products including coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers are produced for use in different industries, such as construction, automotive, aviation, packaging and footwear. In addition to all this, hybrid polymer structures can be obtained by using polyurethane and other polymers together; thus, it is possible to obtain new products with various properties with polyurethane products that provide a wide range of operation possibilities.

Evoco Polymer develops polyurethane products with the properties required by the industry. It carries out projects to develop sustainable, environmentally-friendly materials and special polyurethane products, as well as products under the cost effective-high performance principles developed by customer demands.
